In 2024, a dream of mine came true. LA TAYA was born. But the journey to bring it to life wasn’t easy—it was filled with challenges, doubts, and small victories that brought me to where I am today.
The Beginning of the Journey
When I decided to create LA TAYA, I didn’t fully know what I was getting into. I had a clear vision in my mind: to craft something not only beautiful but also meaningful—a way to connect children to culture, roots, and traditions. My inspiration came from my love of diversity, discovered during my years living in Taiwan, South Africa, and the USA.
But how do you turn a dream into reality? That was the question I had to answer, step by step.
First Challenges and Small Victories
At the start, I had so many ideas, but bringing them to life was far harder than I imagined. Creating the first products, finding reliable suppliers, endless design revisions—each mistake cost me time, money, and sometimes even the motivation to continue.
I remember the day I finally held a certified doll in my hands, one that met all the safety requirements. It felt like a small miracle. Slowly but surely, the brand started to take shape. The e-shop finally launched, and for the first time, I felt that it was all worth it.
Why LA TAYA?
For me, LA TAYA is more than just a brand. It’s my way of showing the beauty of the world to children and their families. Every pattern, every detail tells a story—about cultures, traditions, and values that bring us together.
But you know what? This is just the beginning. I have big dreams and plans. I want LA TAYA to reach more homes, to inspire and bring joy to children around the world.
